Located in a sub-Mediterranean climate zone, Victoria boasts the mildest weather in Canada. While Victoria’s winters are mild and rarely includes snow, some warmer clothing is recommended between November & March. This mild pleasant winter climate attracts many visitors to Victoria, escaping the winter in other parts of the country.
Sheltered by the coastal mountains of the Pacific Northwest, the average amount of rainfall in the summer months is 2.5 cm (1 inch) and only 5 cm (2 inches) in the winter months. Ocean breezes keep the summer temperatures pleasant and the humidity low. |
